So DF has 'drawn a line' under Basil's antics at Fulham and we move on. Let's hope the fans see it that way as well.

Edit - The more I hear DF speak in front of the cameras, the more convinced I am that the appointment of SW and DF is a 'masterstroke' and wherever we finish this season, I'm convinced that the fans will at least be ENTERTAINED - something that was conspicuous by its absence during AN's tenure!!! #forsure

What's happened to poor old Jose!? I use to love his press conferences! Anyone seen him latest? Talking about "how happy he is with the transfer business" etc.

He looked like he was going to go home, dunk his head in a sink of water and scream at himself!

 

Urgh. Seen all this before. Will be a shame to lose him from the Premiership. Barca and Madrid always get their way eventually...

THE SEASON STARTED LAST WEEK!

 

No. The Premiership season started tonight.

Arsenal again, looks very weak at the back. And Not clinical enough going forward. Arsenal should be a couple ahead by now.

Lacazette and Kolasinac looks fantastic additions again tonight.

 

Said to the gf before the game. A lot of pressure on Maguire.17 odd Million for 1 season in the Premiership is a lot of money. If he doesn't start well, he's going to feel the pressure.

He has had a fantastic first half. He looks a great player again. Shone for Hull in a terrible season, and looks so comfortable in the Leicester side! I'd love to see an England Friendly with Keane and Maguire starting as CBs.

2-2. Good to see Welbeck get a goal in the first game.

 

Just read the DF interview. This guy really is the real deal. Everything I read and hear is so positive. I would assume the players are loving being part of his squad, as they will know, perform and you will be rewarded. I am slowly filling my glass, it is now three quarters full.

 

I alluded to the same in #post 6821.
I'm 100% certain that there will be no 'teacher's pets and who knows, it may spur Naismith t actually perform and show that he can actually play and repay some of the massive investment that AN made on him.
Edit - Just read this comment by DF on the Basil case last Saturday in today's EDP - “The club is bigger than one single person. I deeply believe this,” he said. “The club does not have to fall on its knees and kiss the feet of a player or a coach or head coach. Whatever. It is the other way around.
