I have just seen the first Conservative attack ad of the campaign - brutal stuff.

20 seconds of video clips of Corbyn's on the record comments, including
    "Abolish the army"

It's all coming back to bite him on the arse. These ads will soon go out nationally.

I like to think of myself as an honest centre ground non-party political commentator who just looks at the facts and arrives at a sensible decision.... with that said I can't see why anybody would vote for Tim Farron.... and I do not believe that any reasoned person could believe a word that Tony Blair says.

Shouldn't that be a decision for the people of Costa Rica and not one for the British voting public?

    Ok, it's called "detente" Comrade.

Put simply, Putin or any other nutter won't risk attacking us, because they know we in turn have the capability to
flatten the likes of Moscow. It may well be an expensive game of bluff, but the fact is that it works.

Would Putin have steamrollered Crimea if they had Trident ?

Would Putin be invading Ukraine right now if they had Trident ?

    I think not.

Saying you think the money spent on Trident would be better spent elsewhere is just wishy washy glib nonsense.

Look at the sheer amount of cash the Government already wastes - before abolishing our defences, let's abolish Overseas Aid.

Would Putin have steamrollered Crimea if they were protected under the NATO nuclear umbrella?

Would Putin be invading Ukraine right now if they Were protected under the NATO nuclear umbrella?

Because the government waste money in other areas, it doesn't make it nonsense.

Abolish both (and the monarchy) and spend it on our conventional armed forces, the NHS, education and building more houses.

Conventional weapons are about as much use as Colin at a MENSA convention when you have a nuclear missile pointing your way. The fact is that they deter.

Who provides that NATO nuclear umbrella.... NATO do not own any nuclear weapons... the umbrella is provided by USA, UK and France... I am pretty sure that Germany, Japan, Italy and Spain do not own any nuclear weapons.

And look how defenceless they are. Must be a right pain in the arse being attacked by the Russians and Chinese every other week.

    Being serious; what's your point?

What I am saying is that for NATO to have a nuclear umbrella then some members have to have nuclear weapons .... at present if the UK wants to retaliate for any nuclear strike then there just needs agreement between Parliament and the military... if we have no nuclear weapons we would have to ask the USA to retaliate and if they said NO (through fear of joining a foreign war) then the UK would just have to sit back and suffer an ar5e whooping.

If the argument for nukes is that strong why shouldn't North Korea have them too?

Jeremy **** on the BBC now to discuss the NHS. Talks about Brexit.

Never trust a man who smiles whilst delivering bad news.

The same **** who claimed it took 11 minutes to get from Lewisham Hospital to Woolwich when he tried to close A&E and Maternity Ward? And wasted taxpayers money appealing when he lost?

Question for Royston. Who would you not like to see as next Labour leader? Assuming that Jeremy stands down, and that whoever you choose wins his or her seat.
