The Tories must be so pi55ed that they have based their whole election strategy around her and she has been so poor thus far..... ooops!
The whole election has been turned on its head... it started off with Labour worried about what Corbyn might say and now its about the Tories sh1tting themselves over what May might say ............ this election is becoming a bit like series 3 of 'Line of Duty'... which of the principal characters will end up in series 4 and who will be pensioned off?
I thought she improved from her dire performance against Andrew Neil. Never mentioned Jeremy Corbyn, Strong & Stable, 27 countries lined up against her. The most predictable cliche was on the NHS you-need-a-strong-economy etc. She wasn't very good, but it was not a damaging interview. The most damaging moment was when the midwife said "I'll believe it when I see it", and she still seems to have support on Brexit. I'm not sure if those who cheer on the bloody difficult woman now are ready for the financial cost of Brexit, but that's for another day. Could be a good election to lose.
Not sure, Billy, the fall out on social media hasn't been Very kind towards her, - mainly her refusal to answer questions. It was so rehearsed that she was too quick to try and answer the questions from guests. Kept forgetting the pending applause. Threw her off when starting her delivery. 'Strong'
The bar has certainly been lowered. She doesn't deserve the landslide she expected. Their demise in Scotland is a huge millstone for Labour though.
The Tories here at work think she did...... OK....? Is OK good enough for our future PM when discussing Brexit with our 27 enemies?
Genuinely think she is a car crash. Maybe not as bad as Abbott, but she'll be prime minister if she gets her way. Negotiating with the 27 about the Brexit. We'll be lucky to keep the Isle of Wight, and trade may have to be cancelled for a few years.
DEpends surely on whether or not she gets the thumping majority she's asked for. I still think that's possible, despite the polls, but if not she's hoist with her own petard.
Corbyn's had his own car crash now, on Woman's Hour, announcing the launch of Labour's own child-care program, he didn't know the cost, and Emma Barnett had to tell him. This is Labour's weak point, economic competence.
At least they are making an effort to show they have looked at the costings, All we get from Mrs May & her boys is the mantra "Trust us" no numbers, just give them the keys & trust them to sell whats left, to foreign governments, to make money from our infrastructure which German, French & Chinese government owned firms see there is money to be made, whilst our government see nothing but family silver to sell off.
The Tories are flooding Facebook with negative adverts about the dangers of a Corbyn government. So why call an election when you have a working majority and 3 whole years left to run, plenty of time to tie up the Brexit negotiations. And if Mrs May is such a superb negotiator it will be a great deal, one which they would have been eager to put before the electorate in 2020. So why put that at risk?
Like Cameron, they are in a panic about what the polls are telling them. Their avalanche looks as if it will turn out to be a mere flurry. Sadly, like Cameron, they will probably still be in power after the election, but it's really funny to see them twisting and turning when they thought everyone would buy 'strong and stable' and that Labour can't pay for it's program, when they haven't had the nerve or the wit to put a costing on their one, Laughable.
According to the Prime Minister it's only Labour's policies which need to come under economic scrutiny, since the Government is above that sort of thing. She actually said that in the Paxo interview, something which he failed to follow up.
They say the same ****, just put a different spin on their ****ing rhetoric. Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrats, Greens, SNP, they're all out there to **** you in the arse. Best we can hope for is vote for the party that offers us the KY before doing it.
The electorate doesn't want to hear the truth, that's why Labour support has surged since they released a dishonest manifesto, while promising no tax increases for 95% of the population. The Libdems are honest enough to propose a penny in the pound increase in income tax, and they have plummeted. Others happily believe that Mrs May's tough bargaining will get a good deal for Britain. And climate change is off the agenda altogether. As my Dad used to tell me, people like politicians who lie, that's why they keep electing them.
Thoughts on the debate last night? Corbyn makes my blood boil, but imagine he's won over even more fans last night. The no show from May was pathetic. Deplorable woman.
