Watching playoff hockey right now. Big rivalry, LA v San Jose. Northern Cal versus Southern Cal. Mostly it's Canadian farm boys with sticks and bad intentions. ****ing brutal. Not a single player has half his teeth. Faces scarred from stitching. Bad Motherfuckers.

 

Hockey is pretty mental like.Still lots of scrapping?

 

Not as much straight up fighting, but in the playoffs, the refs let everything go. Softies get identified quickly. The hits in open ice are vicious. It's a macho thing. The Canucks don't tolerate pussies. Neither do teammates.

 

Big crowds?

 

Packed. Hockey stadiums hold 17,000 to 20,000. All sell outs.
82 game regular season, then a ridiculously long playoff schedule. The eventual winner takes months to recover.

 

All with beer allowed?

 

Of course!!!!! And vodka, gin, whiskey and whatever else you'd like.

At baseball games that used to be the norm. Now only for the expensive seats, where civilized behaviour is expected.

 

So you have to go to a stall but can take your beer to your seat. Bet its well organised though, no waiting for ages..
