It's on twitter but no official source yet. If this is true it's bad news. I just hope Mitro and Murphy can step up to the plate....... I really do..... This next month will be make or break for Mitro I feel....
It's a make or break few weeks. Huddersfield have won 11 of their last 13 and must be confident. Let's see if January's transfer window's no show will be damaging.
can see this being true, sadly he's very fragile, like the likes of Dyer etc, I can't seeing him being reliable in the Prem, will be constantly injured like Carroll. We've done fine enough without him in plenty of games this season (Brighton, QPR etc), Mitro and Perez just need to score more and Murphy needs to be played more.
Huddersfield have Man City the Wednesday before they play us on a Saturday afternoon. I'm hoping City absolutely trounce them and proper knock the stuffing out of em so we can just swoop in and kick them whilst their down. We will beat Bristol this week, Reading will beat Brighton on Saturday and we will have a nice little 4point gap when we play Brighton, which will then become 7!
I thought Mitro was excellent when he came on on Monday night. There were a couple of times when I saw him chasing for a loose ball and i kinda winced waiting for him to dive in for the ball but thankfully he held back. I was quietly impressed with his contribution. I just hope he has perhaps turned a corner and can get a run in the team and that Rafa will give him someone up top to play off him etc.
Indeed. I think we need to stick to our guns away though. At home yes get support around him through formation or freedom of others. I was quietly impressed also and I don't think people sometimes understand the impact he has on opposing teams. He drags players towards him and this creates space. He doesn't give defenders an easy ride. That is not Gayles fault, it just isn't his game. He tests them a different way. Away as teams press higher up, its effective too as he as space to work in. At home he tends to have to play a bit more back to goal as they sit deeper. They then manhandle him. Mitro doesn't allow that to happen. I'm confident he will get the job done if he engages the brain like he did against Villa (though I did see him try to grab Jedinak off the ball, thankfully he missed )
Diame is dogshit. I think the same of Perez personally, but he does have some ability. Diame just labours on the ball and gives it away/ loses it way too many times.
My god he is the ridiculous master of kick n run that makes sissoko look like he has a football brain Tenner says he'd score a few as a backup if we go up next year tho, lads more sissoko than sissoko!
I think they're both at exactly the same level. Perez is terrible at dallying and giving it away as well - Diame's problem is he thinks he can just plough through solid matter. I personally think our best Rafa eleven probably has Diame in it, as Perez seems to be best suited to the little guy in a 4-4-2; whilst it would work with Mitrovic, let's just accept that Rafa's not going to play that way. So our best tactic is probs the 4-1-4-1 without a DM, Diame alongside Hayden in the middle, Shelvey just behind and Ritchie/somebody right and left (I'd go Lazaar, but what do I know.)
Not against Brizzol, he's too good for that. See? I'm rotating our best to save them for the big teams....
I thought he turned the game into our favour once he was on. All of a sudden it was sticking up there more and he had people running off him. Gave them much more of a problem than Gayle
We knew Gayle would get crocked sooner or later, and we always needed a back up plan, 20 league goals is still damn good even if he does play again this season. As much as I want Diame out of the time, Rafa seems to like him, Diame needs to be dropped forthwith and Murphy or Perez in the team, and Atsu needs to be played more FFS.
Gotta be better than Diame. I'm not sure about him, he has regressed somewhat. I wouldn't give up on him though.
Saying in the Chron he may be back earlier than expected: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor.../rafa-benitez-expecting-dwight-gayle-12652265
That's the thing. They both have some good games but also appear totally ineffective at times. Both can disappoint.
