Starting on the prequel series of Taken (CIA one). It has good reviews online. Available free for those with Amazon Prime.

T2: Trainspotting to watch later. Not seen it yet but really loved how the original captured the essence of the books.

I didn't expect it to be as good as the original and it wasn't, but it wasn't a bad stab at a sequel IMHO. Spud and Begby class as ever.

Going to watch Alien tonight, cant wait. Watched Prometheus last night just to catch up. Aliens (the 2nd one) is one of the greatest films ever.

I liked Mad Men although I randomly stopped watching it halfway through season 4 or something and never picked it up again. Great attention to period detail, for example the director wouldn't allow particular bananas to be used because they were bigger than what was available at the time, and all the ice cubes were frozen in authentic 50s trays.

So many box sets I've started and dropped midway through season 3/4. I did it with Breaking bad at exactly the half way point and didn't finish it for another 18 months, but once I picked it back up I finished it in about 2 weeks.

Struggling to get into series 5 of Prison Break as well, done 3 eps and it's still not feeling like the old ones.

It sometimes feels like a big commitment watching a three hour film if you don't really fancy it or you don't have much spare time so it's not surprising that series' that last up to a hundred hours end up getting ignored when you reach a point where you're thinking it's getting a bit boring or whatever.

Speaking of BB did you ever try Better Call Saul? I remember talking to you about it a while ago. We're up to series 3 now and enjoying it a lot.

Nah we stuck the first episode on and the Mrs started moaning about 30 seconds in saying 'I don't like it'... she's great like that.

Sometimes I think about conjuring up a completely unnecessary business trip away for a week just so I can watch something that she doesn't like.

Maybe if it had opened with Saul working his sick abs in the gym or something eh.

Anyone else looking forward to the new series of Twin Peaks? It's on in ten days in the US I believe not sure about UK.

Just checked and it's on at the same time, the 22nd.

It got a bit bored midway through the first two, started going on my laptop while it was on. Lost track of what was happening. I'll probably be giving it a miss until I rewatch it. No Jack Nance in this one. RIP

Is it just me that thinks that Dr Who is a steaming pile of poop and always has been? Admittedly I wasn't watching it before I was born so I missed its glory days when there wasn't much else on and it was interesting/scary/relevant.

It was brilliant when the daleks were about (and really scary) but it's been absolutely ****e since Worzel Gummidge retired from the role :emoticon-0148-yes:

I can imagine it was good back in the day but it's rubbish now eh. I think it's the writers' fault, they ruined Sherlock too when they decided that crawling up their own arses would be super cosy.
