Frank Nouble is training with a league one club. Could it be Gills, would be a good striker for Gills to get as a free agent. Been playing in China.

Although he probably fits the player JE would be after, he didn't exactly set the world alight in his time at Coventry at this level.

Could we afford his wages ?
Two years ago- at West Ham he was on £10,000 a week. Presumably he got good money whilst playing in China for the last couple of years.
Would he be able to take a large cut - because on gates of barely 5000, we couldn't hope to offer much more than peanuts.

could we swap JET or Frank ? ................ please JET - do everyone here a favour - do something to stop my moans !

Frank Nouble confirmed to a Gills fan that he is expecting to find out this week (w/c 26th Sept) as to whether he's going to earn a contract with us or not after a period training with the boys at Beechings Cross.

I think this would be a good bit of business if a deal is done.

I wonder if he could play alongside JET to be honest. I think Nouble would have a more physical presence than Cody...but what do i know :)

To answer your question -- I worry at J E-T's work rate - and lack of mobility. I would expect Cody, and or Rory to benefit from what Nouble has to offer -- I don't think Nouble and J E-T would be of any use together.
I know I keep on about J E-T 's lack of movement - but, on Saturday, against Coventry, we had a break on ( 2nd half ). J E-T received the ball halfway in our half of the pitch. He had acres of room to run into - and few covering City players - yet J E-T only took the ball a few yards before stopping. He probably realised that he was the furthest forward Gills player - and that he might have to break into a run. He eventually played the ball backwards -by which time the Coventry players were back in covering positions - J E-T wasted a great chance to have a run at their goal - all because he's too lazy

To be fair, generally the only one who does any running is Dack, so then we have lazy JET and Cody who in my opinion just waits to be fed. I think Nouble may well fill that gap. We as supporters really have to get off this mentality (not talking about yourself) that one player such as Cody makes a team. To be honest I really miss the days of Jackman, Lee and Barcham, yeah they never won much but bloody hell did they chuck an attack at you when required, ankle biters, passion, blood and guts. The only time I have seen anything replicating this was the beginning of last season, first game. What's happened since, sod all, all the problems we've said about time and time again, still exist. We never learn we just go round in flaming circles. I just can not bare lazy players, never have and never will, like yourself.

Maybe this is JE's last attempt to recover his situation to.
