Ok, we need a pint to stay up. Fraser is injured. McCarthy is injured. Lewis is sick. You want Taylor or Super Kelv? There's always one last hurrah
When I was leaving Saints v Arsenal U23s earlier this week, Saints were giving Arsenal staff and players free packed lunches to take home on the bus. I got given two, so as to take one back for the club photographer (who was already waiting in the vehicle). As I was walking out with a bag in each hand Kelvin walks past and goes 'Oh come on mate, you don't need two lunches now do you!?' I actually felt a little bit privileged to have had that treatment from SKD himself.
My prediction: The era will end at the end of this season when the Liebherr family sell the club. We will put the cherry on the cake by lifting the league cup at Wembley. Some call it fate. Players have come, players have gone. Manager's have come, manager's have gone. Owners have come; the owners will have gone. We are the only constant.
I'm sad to see him go. I won't wish him well, especially at Spam. As for booing, sorry I'll have to see.
Is this tongue in cheek? Cortese pulled us up by our ears but was responsible for 2 of our most expensive signings which both failed epically. We don't really think about what could have happened if the money on gaston and Osvaldo had been invested more effectively.
I actually think this is good business from the club. Take out any emotion or sentiment, 8m now is far more than we'd have got in the future for a player who many of us have said needed replacing in the starting lineup anyway.
Yep I agree completely. Just need to make that we replace him. Am I the only one who thinks we won't sign anyone this Jan?
I can't honestly feel bad about Jose. For 6 of his 7 years he was the best CB at SFC and was an excellent captain. Good luck JF [except against us], but you've made Fran a very sad lady.
Strange that he sees us as a step up when you've finished above us three seasons running. I guess he had the chance to join a bigger club, so you can understand his decision.
Wouldn't it be refreshing if he was to be honest and say the he was settling for West Ham because his plan to join a team who regularly challenges for titles backfired? I wonder what the photos of the Premier League trophy on his Instagram were all about now that he has joined a team who should he said should be "challenging for the top 8"
