There's no need for that, Bod. Rules are rules, mate. If we don't have rules, everything descends into chaos, and then there is no fun for anyone. But, since it would appear that movie clips are permitted, then I put the following forward as the funniest ever sketch.
Amazed no one has mentioned The Fast Show. Consistently, genuinely funny. Actual sketches too, by the true definition. Can't be arsed to post any specifically as they were more or less all hilarious. I'd say 85% hit and only 15% miss. (finger in the air statometer reading)
I'd say 75/25. I loved:- Ted & Ralph Dave Angel, Eco Warrior Jazz Club Swiss Toni "Suit's You, Sir!" outfitters Archie ("Hardest game in the World!") Unlucky Alf Colin Hunt The Offroaders Ron Manager Carl Hooper Bob Fleming The rest were hit-and-miss for me.
You ain't seen me, right! Can't remember which one that was but also very good. As was, I'll get me coat.
Little Britain was superb but they ended up using the same jokes over and over again till they became dull. The first season of it is brilliant.
I'll give you "You Ain't Seen Me, Right!" However, "I'll Get Me Coat!" was too hit and miss for me. That was, perhaps, the beauty of The Fast Show - it has more than enough for everyone, even if not everyone liked exactly the same characters. The only characters I never laughed at - and thought were a waste of space - were the "Which Was Nice" Bloke, and "The Shagging Couple."
