Didn't they change the rules then to ensure the mirrors were cockpit mounted, as on the sidepods they vibrated so badly the drivers couldn't see much out of them?
It's something that rings a bell, and all cars seem to have mirrors sprouting off the cockpits now. I do imagine things from time to time though!
It is a symbolic slap in the face to Dennis, though not entirely unexpected as its clear the McLaren/Dennis relationship is dead.
Should have just gone with Mc and then named the chassis after a different McDonald's menu item each year.
I know liveries are not something of interest to everyone but the McLaren website now has orange all the way through. There is a brief glimpse of a 2017 cap which is black with orange on the underside of the peak. Bit worried we might end up with a Force India 2 or even a jet black McLaren with orange outer stripes/lines replacing the red that was on their silver 2015 launch car. I really hope they have a snazzy, fresh design- it's time McLaren had a bit more creative freedom.
im predicting a Orange top with black sides with a big white circle for the number to give it a retro feel.. Not to clash too much with Force india and Renault
Less than 10 days then its first sight of cars and testing. about blooming time i say. I've been eagerly awaiting this for 2 months
according to the BBC it should be Tuesday we get the first launch, then 1 or 2 a day for the rest of the week
The Mclaren engine sound that's been released was good, and there's some "leaked" images of their car floating around which definitely point to orange accents on the livery.
please log in to view this image this one? looks like it could be nice. Though I am a little suspicious, enlarged it looks it has been edited on to a different background.
What makes me think this is fake is i thought the rear tyres were going to be wider?..... this is a spyker.
