Palace have had some bad results recently but earlier in the season were doing very well. They won't roll over. Even if they did we'd probably struggle.
First half we dominated possession and looked more like the Swansea of old. Although, the first half was when Everton had their best chances. All round it was a decent performance just we lacked the composure to see it through. Definitely something to work from and if we play like that for the rest of the season we may escape relegation. Palace game is a must win.
Trunds it was fabs error that they scored in the 89th minute....What the hell was he playing at being in the position he was...If he was on his goal line he would easily had saved that and tipped it over the bar,,,,It is know wonder he was not a regular with Arsenal.......Vorm would have not made such a schoolboy error and he has been in goal for a number of games for spurs this season http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/first-team-squad/michel-vorm/
It was Ki and his weak, pathetic, can't be arsed attempt at headering the ball straight into danger that cost us the goal.
Keepers fault valley, If he had been where he should have been they would not have scored......It was a fluke caused by bad positioning...He is in command in his area and he should have either been on his line or he should have communicated with someone to guard the posts......In an ideal situation the players should have thought that one out for themselves when they see the keeper off his line, This is where the quality is lacking.....No leadership since we lost ash....
No quality you see and no quality fans by the look of it.....Why does it only have to be a corner to put players on the post OMG
So here we have the ball being played across the box a number of times not knowing where it is gong to land and our keeper is way off his line and you would not if you were a defender try and protect thegoal line Perhaps that's why we lose so many games in the final minutes that the players show lack of any quality at all......schoolboy stuff......
Because putting a player on the post in open play means that you play every opposition player onside... But I do agree that Fab's positioning should've been better.
So you'd have two players, (who I suppose would have to be nominated before the game, or are you going to make it up as you go along?) running for the goalposts, in the meantime leaving two opposing players unmarked and also playing everyone onside? All this within 0.5 of a second while a cross comes in.
Like i said no quality in the side able to read the game and mind the goal line for the very reason they got a soft equalizer that ruined our valuable away win. We were too close to the goal to worry about playing anyone on side with the players and where they were........It all came down to not knowing what to do in a situation like that........Our players do it all the time and can never protect the lead like any normal side would do....
The goal was scored, and soft it was, because our inept defence went to sleep again, and allowed a free header in the box from a shorty! Yes Fab could have done better, but it was a rather crowded box, the real issue was our defence again, and Ki didn't cover himself in glory either leading up to the header, we can never sit on a one goal lead, the chances are always for us at the minute going to be to concede a goal..............
