I'm facing the annual wrestle with my conscience over getting a ST. I really want to do some travelling later this year and next year, which will mean missing a number of games. At the same time, I don't want to miss the opportunity of seeing our boys do well again ...... arrgghh!
Needs some IT literate fan to create an unofficial exchange. I sell my seat for game X for day ticket price less whatever the season ticket discount is (20%ish?). Willing buyer pays face value -10%. Site owner pockets the difference for running the site. Plenty of potential downsides but all fixable with ratings/credit card/deposits etc I'm sure. Make it so, someone. If it works here it'll work for 20 clubs. Be worth a few bob, I guess. Vin
If you used PayPal or similar it would avoid any issues over dodgy credit cards. This idea has a future, and at least one potential customer (me).
Looks good,be careful who you sell it to though, not just the money side if you get a bottle throwing loony the club will make a comment or two.
I was asked by a Pompey fan if I could get him a ticket (in the days when they were in the same stratosphere as us), but I declined on the grounds that a) it would deprive a Saints fan of a ticket and b) I'd lose my ST if he threw a wobbler when our tenth goal went in.
I'm thinking the same thing. Meets at the pub to be few and far between Have to organise golf instead!
Ahh okay, the solution seems fairly obvious then. Saints should just keep it open for each fixture. Probably wouldn't make too much difference but it'd be good for STH of their seats sells and may encourage groups that decide not to go if they can't sit together etc
Oh great, so in a season where I'm hoping to go more often due to (I assume) more 3pm Saturday kick-offs, no-one who I know will be there I'm feeling very unloved...
Oh well, if you three (and Chilcs! and Beddy! and Fran if I twist her arm!) will be there I suppose I can come, then...
That reminds me. Does anyone know who created the ticket office website? Does the club own it or is it provided by some external party like the Premier League?
One more vote for Membership. I bought one last Summer in the hope that it might get me far enough up the queue for Europa League knockout matches. We didn't make that, but having bought the Europa bundle (£48) it did get me a ticket for the EFL Cup final, plus a lot of away match convenience if you are into that sort of thing. Unfortunately, in between the time I bought it and the start of the season I had an impromptu move North Of The Wall, but the thought was there anyway.
It's a system run by some US-based company. The club did mention the name when they changed to the credit cardy ticket thingy (did I mention I featured on one?) but I've since forgotten it. Vin
Oy....you twisted my arm. Bought a ticket for Hull solely because of your whimpering. You'd better blooming be at pub for that match.
