I think we all knew this would be the case. Every game is a chance to showcase on TV, in front of a massive audience. When they're at home, they're not quite as up for it which is why, as a superior team, we win so many on the road. I can see more disappointment against Derby before we get ourselves back on track.
we are a ****ing joke of a side no metal or steel when it matters no leaders same old problem, shocking result against a truly turgid side. If we can't beat this lot at home I really worry about us for the final games of the season. I can see us bottling this
I can just see it now. McLaren signing in the rain as derby hammer us and all I want to do is shave his ****ing melon......
Jesus ****ing christ. I knew it. I've heard something today from a club source - Graham Carr IS back in charge of transfers. Ashley HAS overruled Charnley and Rafa. He's apparently not happy with the signings that were made this season and is livid that we aren't walking away with the Championship. Charnley's job is on the line because of this. Ashley is also not happy with Rafa or the football that has been played this season. Rafa identified four players in the window that he wanted to bring to the club: - Townsend - McCarthy - Brady - Snodgrass Carr reported this to Ashley. Ashley told Carr that they were not to be signed under any circumstances due to their 'ages.' Charnley was advised that he is no longer in charge of transfers with Rafa and was told that if we fail to get promotion he is out on his ear. This has got back to the dressing room and the players are NOT happy.
Can't someone tell Ashley that he shouldn't have sacked Chrissy H then!! To be fair though I am glad we didn't sign those players (well not at the prices they did go for). Only McCarthy would I have wanted. However, all decisions should be Rafa's - end of discussion. Carr should be gone and Rafa bring in his own team of scouts. Least though we know the players then are pleased with Rafa!
No offence to your source mate but this sounds like newspaper bollocks. If it comes from the horses mouth or we see some evidence to back it up then maybe, but otherwise I think its just hearsay.
It always amuses me that these sources know such intricate conversations between the hierarchy. I don't think Charnley or Rafa are discussing this with the players, nevermind the minions on the shop floor.
Come on mate, why on earth would anyone except Carr, Charnley, Rafa and Ashley be party to these discussions. They won't be walking out of meetings telling all and sundry. People love a bit of drama. There may be some truth in it but I suspect not.
