Craig Shakespeare has Danny Drinkwater will miss the last 3 games because of his thigh injury that he has carried for months So who partners Ndidi? King or Amartey? I would like to see Amartey come in which would allow us to further release Mahrez and probably change the formation with Gray coming in for Okazaki
Will be a straight swap with King - Shakepeare hasn't shown any imagination with his formations and I doubt he will do so now.
Has to be King otherwise there isn't any creativity at all. But I'd be tempted with Kasper Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs N'didi Amartey Gray Mahrez Albrighton Vardy Or Kasper Albrighton Morgan Benny Huth Chilwell N'didi Amartey Mahrez Okasaki Vardy
As its looking likely that mahrez will be leaving surely it would be wise to find a space for gray for the next 3, the planning for next year starts now.
Morgan is still going to be out injured and Huth is a doubt, he's to have a scan on a foot injury. We might need Amartey as defensive cover and king in midfield.
For saturday I would go with Schmeichel Simpson Benalouane Fuchs Albrighton Chilwell Ndidi Amartey Mahrez Gray Vardy Simaliar to how we play against Athletico at home in the 2nd half
Excuse my ignorance but is James available? Finished with Barnsley, match fit and playing well by all accounts.
Huth and Morgan are both out for Saturday ... so for mr Schmeichel Simpson Benny Amartey Fuchs Albrighton Mahrez Ndidi Gray Vards Ulloa
Leicester City travel to Manchester City tomorrow with a depleted squad through injury, but manager Craig Shakespeare cannot call upon the returning loan players. Danny Drinkwater, Wes Morgan and Papy Mendy are all definitely out for the trip to the Etihad Stadium, while Robert Huth is a major doubt with a foot injury. However, City are not allowed to call upon Matty James, Tom Lawrence and Harvey Barnes, who have all returned from successful loan spells in the Football League. Under FIFA's transfer window rules, loan deals are agreed from window to window, meaning all three are ineligible for first team duty, although teenager Barnes was able to play in the under-23s, helping them to a win at Tottenham that staved off relegation. .text-links-grid .videoCube { height: 4.7em; } .text-links-grid .trc_rbox_header_span, .trc_spotlight_widget .trc_rbox_header_span { font-family: 'verb_regularbold',Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 18px; margin-left: 10px; } .text-links-grid { margin-top: 20px; width: 100%; } "They are not eligible which really frustrates me in a way because someone like Harvey Barnes, who has done really well out on loan to get experience, grasped it with both hands, I would love to see him in some of the games, but we can't play him," said Shakespeare. "We can play him in the under-23s but not the first team. It is a rule that needs looking at."
Will be King, so expect plenty of backwards and sideways passes. Lets hope he can ghost into the box and grab a goal.
He got one in the home game against them. I think this is actually Kings sort of game, when you play a physical side he's just not up to it but he's done well against these. It's more likely to be Huth and Morgan out that is our downfall (if there is a downfall that is). Shame the loan lads can't play
Could be interesting at the back, i guess that it'll be Amartey coming in with Benelouane. I doubt they would bring in big Was at this stage of the season if they have an eye on developing Amartey for next season.. or i could be totally wrong and Fuchs will move centre with Chilwell down the left ...
