seems the Trust are stopping running this now. As the HCST continue to look to develop a working relationship with the club, the Board have decided to attempt to remove any possible barriers preventing this. In this vein, we are putting an end to our popular #AllamQuotes campaign after several successful months.
successful? what did it achieve? it never? most it did was so panty wetters could put: #askhab to try and make themselves look cool!
I thought they brought it to the party too late, and I'm not convinced by the 'success' claim but I think stopping it is a step in the right direction towards creating an atmosphere for communication.
Whatever you think of its success, it was a good change of direction, just as dropping it is. The Trust is right to make another gesture, but it is Allam who must make ammends for the idiocy of his time in ownership of the club. Good to see the Trust leading by example. I hope there is more to this move.
Success? ****ing hell. That's priceless. Oh wait, thats responsible for Ehab staying, getting Silva in, and getting the squad together we have now, which seems universally popular, and encouraged Ehab to fund a warm weather training trip? In that case, well played, those tweets were awesome.
I bet Marco's agent had to bang Eeyore's head against the wall in order to get him to read the CV. And I hope the stupid one had a ****ing big bruise for weeks...
The aim was to remind people that you couldn't believe anything they said, while also pissing off Ehab, it was successful in achieving both.
And what exactly has changed? What impact has it had? The aim of the Trust was simply to piss off our owner? They now want to appear as the bigger man and build bridges? With the bloke you can't believe anything he says? Christ on a bike. Brilliant. I have wondered lately if the committee meetings they have are a little distraught. As there's very little said from the club there's nowt for the Trust to jump on. Let's face it, that's all they have.
This is worded as though it's more of a major thing than it really is. We discuss what's going in the newsletter every week and this week we agreed to stop putting an Allam Quote in. It had been suggested for a few weeks before being agreed upon. That's all it is. Last meeting we were still planning on doing something similar to the billboard thing again, but we're focusing more on talking to the PL right now. It'll probably still happen at some point.
Shame It was funny No point in trying to play nice with Ehab I assume he thinks we're all ****s There won't be a 'working relationship'
Puts out one huge poster. Then.....nothing. "Organises" a boycott of a game barely anyone would have bothered with. Then....nothing. Twitter campaign to ridicule the owners, which mostly just makes the Trust look like kids. Then....nothing. You say they wanted to show the Allams can't be trusted at all, and to ridicule Ehab. But now, now, they want to stop the twitter campaign, which in reality died on its arse weeks ago, in an effort to hold out an olive branch and as proof they're doing everything they can to be in a position to talk to Ehab. Its funny because either you're either blatantly just ignoring the truth, or you're embarrassed by it. The Trust are devoid of any ideas. They don't enjoy the popular support they think they do. They're untrustworthy, duplicitous, and currently scuttling around in the shadows trying to get someone, anyone, to listen to them. What's important to them seems to be getting quoted in the press or scoring points. Not the fans. Not the club. It's hugely disappointing tbh.
You're completely wrong, all the Trust have done is switched their focus from trying to get the owners to change their ways, to trying to get the authorities to strengthen and enforce the rules that already exist, as you'll see in due course.
So, is the focus going to move away from the owners and onto the PL and/or FA? Is it intended (or has it been done) to list all of the points/rules that should be enforced but haven't? Will it list the other clubs affected by these points? Is it intended that some form of collaboration will be arranged with those clubs?
As regards what HCST has done and what they will do I think a few points must be made: - the Trust is the members. - the Committee don't get paid. They are involved primarily because they are City fans. - HCST's various activities have helped get the message out there concerning our beloved leader and the sprog. - in a previous incarnation the Trust played a massive part in preserving our name. - the Trust is not perfect, who is? - it appears that some posters on here would only praise the Trust if a ubiquitous money give away was offered at every City game by scantily clad vestal virgins!
