There's a news thread on the Palace board saying Palace are about to agree a £600,000 fee for Dikgacoi.

I liked what I saw of him, and thought it was a shame he didn't get more chances. That said, I don't see him getting a lot of starts ahead of Murphy, Sidwell and Etuhu. I hope the move to Palace works well for him.

I agree Captain, and he could have been especially useful in early European games.

Yes, shame for the lad - he got injured and went to ANC shortly after coming here then never really got chance, good luck to him.

Largely agree with the above comments, never really proved himself here but hope he a can prove to be a good championship player.

A few seasons in the championship will do him good. He clearly had promise but needed to get used to the english game, that was not going to happen with us. I admired his tenacity in getting himself noticed by us, it should serve him well. Didn't we get him for free ? If so £600000 would be fairly good business.

Same as everyone else. A shame that I only really remember him for a silly red card a couple of seasons back and a name like a Pokémon, but I wish him all the best.

We have criticised Mark Hughes a lot lately (and with good reason!) but credit where it's due. He could have let Dikgacoi's contract run out in the summer, but he exercised our option for a further year. As a result, we've got a rumoured fee of £600,000 that we wouldn't have otherwise got. Apparently Dikgacoi was upset that we invoked the clause when he had made it clear that he wanted to go elsewhere for first team football. Now it becomes apparent that it was just a bit of good business on our behalf.

Skysports.com understands Fulham are lining up a move to bring John Arne Riise back to the Premier League. .

Surely credit for this must go to Alastair MacIntosh? Doesn't he handle contracts?

Good point, Fulhamish. Hughes can go back to being a dirty, rotten, ship-jumping stinker!

Good to hear CM - and with a different manager last season we'd have finished in the top six and won the FA Cup!
