Looking at a link I posted from the ugly inside a couple of days ago, the Green Man or The Arch look good - maybe the Wetherspoons pub too Either way EXCITING!!!!!
I used to live in the area, green man is the best on match days in my opinion and slightly closer to the ground.
My only concern with green man is I'm worried it will be a 45 minute queue for a **** drink in a plastic cup. I don't plan on getting to Wembley area until around 1-2ish.
Despite warnings (Message #646), many people have posted pictures of their tickets on Twitter, I suspect some people may be in for a rude surprise as a plethora of duplicate tickets appear, cloned by fraudsters. I suggest you take proof of purchase with you if you have it. If any of these fraudsters are caught I hope they get some serious punishment in the Courts, their action could cause some serious problems.
Much as I'd love to meet up with other not606ers, I'm planning to have lunch in Central London and get to Wembley by about 3:30. Can't bare crowded pubs with everyone yelling at each other so will go to the tranquil and quiet stadium instead Having said that, if anyone (flt ) wants to text me where they are, especially if in the fan zone outside the stadium I'll happily meet up...
The way I read this warning (about not posting images of your ticket) was that on line touts would use the picture to lure people into handing over money for something that they never actually get - so it's not that people get a fake ticket, they don't get any ticket. I'm keeping my ticket in a darkened tin, not to be opened until matchday -I don't want the sun to fade the print
Looking at mine, it has some kind of barcode on it that will be read by the scanner. I'm sure if I photocopied it the first one in would get in as they have people less turnstiles there. Obviously, if anyone looked at the photocopy it wouldn't go through. Just a thought to why it is a bad idea. I have looked quite close, and I can't see any NFC etc on the ticket itself - purely scanning.
H - will definitley text you and try to meet up. I wouldn't mind having a beer in one of the pubs for the atmosphere, but will want to find someone half decent for a bite to eat, especially as I'll have my lad with me.
Exactly what i'm thinking. Going to have to meet my manic depressive brother and my 14 year old niece (how old is your boy FLT?...) and my 75 year old dad at some stage, so plan to meet them early (i'm in London from around 10:30) and then on to a pub for a little atmosphere..then to the ground for the real fun
