    Crystal Palace v Watford.

    This game comes after a prolonged wait for Walter Mazzarri´s men to right the wrongs of recent performances. Saturday Watford will travel to south London looking for elusive points for survival having not won in three league games. Crystal Palace could get a third successive win and are the in form team of the two.

    It is getting to the business end of the season and battling qualities will be needed along with all the usual attributes so as to not get dragged further down the table and into the relegation mire.

    A win would be welcome relief for all Hornets.

    My first away game for a little while and i'm not looking forward to it! However good our players our, we have no tactics which can't work against a Sam Allerdyce side just coming into form. I can't see anything good coming on Saturday but i hope i'm wrong, and in the interest of positivity i'm going for a 1-3 win! Thanks for the thread Mex :)

    I've never seen us win at Palace but since I'm not going we might have a chance this time!

    I'm meeting one of my best Bud's, probably in East Croydon. Would love it to be LB but he comes up from the south so EC it is. Hopefully we'll get lunch this time. Last season we waited over 90 minutes for food in the wetherspoons before we cancelled it and grabbed a pret for the walk to the ground. Missed the penalty, TD9 scored it so I, at least, wasn't bothered about missing that. Rubbish view of course once in the ground, but a win's a win.... a decent lunch this time and the same result and I, at least, will be a happy chappie!

    Team news:

    Etienne Capoue will have to prove he has shaken off the effects of illness before he can be named in the Watford XI for the 28th successive league match. "Capoue has had a fever for two days and hasn't been training so we will check tomorrow," said Head Coach Walter Mazzarri, who has no fresh injury doubts, meaning Daryl Janmaat and Nordin Amrabat are back in contention. "Only Christian Kabasele, Ben Watson, Roberto Pereyra and Mauro Zarate are not training so if nothing else happens, we should have the rest available." The squad have been given minimal time off during the two-week gap between games, enabling Mazzarri to "improve some of the small details".

    Lets hope that works out then!

    Lose and he will probably say we were tired...

    As for Capoue - no great loss if he misses out on current form.

    The trouble is, just who do you play if Capoue is not fit?

    Well maybe push Niang forward as Capoue seemed to be playing out wide last game!

    Maybe if Capoue is not fit, we can play a 4-4-2;

    Gomes;
    Janmaat, Prodl, Kaboul/Britos, Holebas;
    Amrabat, Behrami, Cleverley, Niang;
    Deeney, Success/Okaka

    Play with 2 wide men, who can get crosses into Deeney (and maybe Okaka), Behrami can be the holding midfielder and allow Cleverley to get forward. Play Amrabat on the same side Zaha is playing, so we can double up on him (although gives him twice the opportunities to be 'fouled') as not sure Niang's defensive duties are quite there...

    Although can't see it, and imagine WM will stick with 3 in the middle, and maybe play Zuniga alongside Behrami and Cleverley.

    Walter has gone on a Jose type rant against the officials - let's see where that gets us!!

    Not sure it will be a positive move...

    The Guardian also say Capoue and Janmaat are doubtful...
