It comes as no surprise that homesick Peter Murphy has left the Chairboys to return up north joining Morecambe I'm sad to see him go Lets hope Gaz can pull another rabbit out of the hat http://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/13312405._/
I liked Murphy. Especially as he seemed to be an expert at winding up the opposition and getting them sent off. Also chipped in with some great goals in the first half of last season. I have faith in GA, but I am itching to see who is going to be coming in to the club.
Great first half to the season then went downhill fast, shame as he could be a great player. If nobody comes in to replace him i wonder if Ainsworth will rely on Max upping his game.
Gary Thompson has signed a 2 year deal, a 34 year old striker who played for Bradford in the league cup final scoring against Arsenal in their cup run, played for Notts County last season scoring 12 goals, hmmm!
He looks a shrewd signing with lots of experience having played at Wembley on no less than five occasions and has played at Championship level I'm looking forward to him helping to taking us back there next May
Now we've signed Ryan Sellers aged 21 after his release by Bolton who WWFC describe as a left sided player, trained with us at the end of last season after being let go so Ainsworth must have liked what he saw.
Who is Gary Thompson video Notts County appreciation "Thompson is a former strike partner of current Chairboys captain Paul Hayes, with the pair firing the Iron to promotion to the Championship in 2009."
I've not found out much about the ginger headed central defender but he must be an improvement on Fletcher and he can cover at left back
Really pleased about Thompson. Looks like a great player for league 2 and did well in league 1 so I can understand the 2 year contract. Read that Millwall, plus 4 other league clubs are after Alfie. You wouldn't blame him for moving up a league, but we can only hope
So is thompson a like for like replacement for Craig, or have we gone up a notch. I always rated craig, not for his goals but all other aspects of his game.
Happy with Thompson then. Some of these look interesting http://www.getbucks.co.uk/sport/football/news/who-wycombe-wanderers-sign-next-9483274? Sparrow, devera and grant especially.
Some of those do not look too bad at all will be interesting to see who else Ainsworth adds to the squad
I can't believe we only have 1 centre back on the books. Anyone heard about Ingram? If he stays and we get a quality centre back then I'm confident of clean sheets.
