http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...g-arsenal-fan-claudio-callegari-a7113016.html Essex Police are appealing for help in finding Claudio Callegari, better known as ‘Claude’ from ArsenalFan TV, after he went missing on Thursday. Arsenal supporter Claude, who rose to prominence through his appearances on ArsenalFan TV where supporters debate matches outside the Emirates Stadium after games, was last seen at 11:30am on Thursday. ....
It's not nice for his family and friends though regardless of what you think about Arsenal TV and his appearances on it. Fingers crossed he turns up soon.
But it's also not nice for the thousands of others who don't have any press coverage when they go missing. Yes it's sad that he's missing, but these sorts of stories annoy me... reporting on something unfortunate that is happening to one person just because he appears on ArsenalTV, when it is simultaneously happening to thousands of others who aren't reported on.
I totally agree that it is devastating for anyone's family/friends when someone goes missing - but I don't think any should be ignored or sneered at. Obviously you can't report on every single one on every single media, but you can draw attention to as many as possible in the hope that someone may see him/her and be able to get them some help (if needed) or tell them that their families are worried ect. This seems a reasonable place to post it as some people may have met him and may live in vaguely the same sort of area as him. It's devastating that there's so many rapes, murders and even genocide happening all the time all over the year but we only hear about a few of them and I certainly don't suggest ignoring every rape, murder ect just because we can't report them all.
Shame that he's in a bad place, but I suppose at least he seems lucid and in control - he's responsible for his own actions and life, just hope he does what's right for him.
He threatened to top himself last season, IIRC. Got talked out of it. Hope he gets some help and doesn't do anything drastic. Seems like a nice enough bloke, despite being depressed as ****.
Not much Mental Health help around these days unfortunately - and imo sectioning is the last thing that would improve your state of mind. Fingers crossed he's ok and finds a way to stop feeling depressed soon.
I'd suggest that strangling Ty with some Arsenal branded headphones could help, but someone might take me up on it. ****er would be buried in an official Arsenal coffin too, I'll bet.
Have you not seen Arsenal Fan TV? Liverpool have their own version, but it's not as funny, unfortunately.
Yeah I watch Claude weekly (highly amusing tbf), but he's big enough and ugly enough to look after himself. The fact he's gone on twitter to announce he's ok is just plain stupid.
