City here, City there, City every....

I know it's somewhat naff and at my age I should know better but I spotted this when having a quiet pint whilst waiting for Mrs Dubs to finish tourist shopping: just a great feeling to see City on show.... and our actual name too! (Piccy in a bar in Costas Teguis, Lanzarote).

 

I always get a little excitable when i see a reference to Hull and mores Hull City when i am on my travels somewhere.

Hull City has a couple of scarves up in the Fox and Hounds pub down on the Gold Coast (South of Brisbane for those who don't know where it is). The bar has loads of scarves but obviously i was immediately drawn to the Black and Amber ones on the ceiling beams immediately i walked in. There was also a pennant for Hull Lada Vikings on the wall. Next time i go i will have to get some photographic evidence to post up, although everyone will have forgotten and moved on by then.

I've just go back from a week in Sicily, and no one had really heard of Hull.
When I mentioned Hull City Premier League (don't mention the relegation!), they all seemed to twig.
Especially one Italian who said, oh yes Hull City, I have family in Guildford.
I just laughed and agreed.

Not unless they're playing, and believe me in recent years it's been pretty ****ing fantastic watching City-Liverpool games there (well, home games anyway!)

I spy 2 Bradford scarves too.

Must be a Yorkshire thing.
