No thanks. Didn't settle at Sunderland. Awful at Blackburn Released at QPR Poor attitude at Spurs............... The only club he was any good for was Wigan under Jewell however - I'd imagine he'd want £15,000 - £20,000 wages too.... In summary - STAY WELL CLEAR TOWN !
If we can get him on our terms (i.e. not submitting to over the top wage demands) i'd have no problem with him filling in one of our full back places
Offer him around the £8000 mark - 1 year deal - and pre-warn any issues he will immediately be fined 2 weeks wages. However, offer him GOOD bonuses for clean sheet / assists ( he could chip in with a few from crosses ) and an improved contract should it work out. If he declines this, then I wouldn't touch with a bargepole frankly.
I'd take Chimbonda in definitely! Think he'd add something good to our side, and Jewell has got the best out of him before. Obviously negotiate reasonable wages, but I think he'd be a great signing! Shame we only have all these rumours going around at the moment!

Its got to be worth a go on a free where we can dictate wages. Offer six months. Jewell must have some idea of the lad. If it does not work out by Christmas offload and not much lost. Whereas he could be the consistent right back we need to allow Edwards to play further forward in a more balanced side. Now for the Left!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Easy this managing lark!!
