We've been so on top. But we can't keep defending like this...

 

So frustating listening to this.

We dont deserve to lose this but if we cant defend and cant take our chances, then results like this will continue to happen.

Both sides have had 5 on target but they had 6 shots in total while we have had 17. Add theor ZERO corners to our 7, we shouldnt have lost this game.

Last time a striker scored for us in open play (not pens) was 1st of November vs Fleetwood. Not including cup games.

Second worse goal record at the moment Bury have the worse

 

We've scored more then Bolton but they are where they are because they have a solid defence.

 

Honestly, if you look at the last couple of goals Charlton scored the other day there were lots of our players making no attempt to close them down or get a tackle in. I think DC should bring Mansell back and shake things up a bit.

 

By our next league game, it would be over a month since a striker scored in open play.

Its been a bad month.

 

We are on a bit of a roll at the moment but totally the wrong kind of roll.
Whilst our defence may be shipping goals our strikers are not coming up with the goods, certainly not in the last few games.
Taylor is our only consistent striker but it ain't happening for him at the moment.
