Ok - here we go boys. Another one begins.

Conte might very well go with

    Thibo
    Ivan Cahill JT Dave
    Kante Matic
    Willian Oscar Hazard
    Costa

Won't be surprised to see Fab instead of Oscar.

Will prefer Michy, Ruben, Traore , Chalobah, Aina all get meaningful minutes sooner.

West Ham will be buoyed by their exploits from last season and will be confident bunch.

Something tells me it'll be a 2-2 draw. This will be a seriously tough opening game for both teams.

No Gut feeling about this match.
But - I had a dream few days ago, City vs Sunderland - Moyesy takes 3 pts from Pep. Score was 2-3 to Moyesy.

So Defoe is going to get a hatrick at Etihad?

Can only see West ham playing the long ball for lurch to get on. Chelsea to win easily 3-1

Wasn't in the squad for the Bremen game. I assume he's leaving on loan.

I'd go with the team in the OP but with Fab instead of Oscar. I can't wait for us to sign a new full back too....

Tough game but if Hazard is back on form I fancy us to edge it. 2-1 maybe.

In Pre-season, Hazard, Oscar and Costa have all looked deadly.
Hopefully they can carry that over. Traore played well too, hoping he gets some minutes this season.

true - especially Hazard seems to be back to his best.
That can be great for Conte.

Agree. Oscar seems to have benefited from playing deeper. Early days though.

Traore looks like a real natural goalscorer. Right place right time kinda player, he'll definitely get some opportunities this season.

I would really consider Kenedy at LB and Dave on RB.

Our Back 4 needs a good old shuffle. They are very stale AS IS

I'd be surprised if he starts with a 4-2-3-1 formation. Hasn't used it during preseason as far as I'm aware and not really his style.
I personally felt that formation didn't work or suit us last season, so happy to see something different this time around.

I also believe that the shadow of Jose has finally lifted. Maybe it's because he's done his time with us and now he's never going to come back, or maybe it's because Conte represents the ushering in if a new era. Excited and emboldened for this season and I have a sneaky feeling we may put one over our biggest rivals in spectacular fashion this year. Why? I hear you cry! The reason is that conte has helped Italy perform on the world stage. The others have never been there and don't know what that kind of pressure is like.

I fancy a score draw here, we've needed some full backs for almost a year, and half your defence ran out of legs a year or 2 ago.
