Can Charlton maintain their unbeaten run in the Checkatrade Trophy? I'm almost tempted to go, in a morbid sort of way. It might just reach a new level of ghastliness at The Valley.
Missing this one - I am at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham. Canapés with the PM tomorrow, or watching 'Slade Football' - a hard choice
Boring, stage-managed affair. Wouldn't you find the hatred and civil war of the Labour Conference more interesting?
No, lobbyists love power & wining and dining people like me Labour are at least 9 years away from that. Possibly longer.
No need. She's guaranteed to win whenever it is, so may as well prolong Jeremy Corbyn's leadership. I'd say the Labour conferences, with all the interfaction squabbles and name-calling are far more Charlton.
Meire will be conscious of the previous record low in the Simod Cup - 821 I think Olly Groome is currently visiting local primary schools like a YTS Father Xmas, dishing out comp tickets. Sue Parkes has also been told to bring along her extended family.
Are you sure you get the comps at Cup games? The gate receipts are split so any subsidised tickets will actually cost us (I think). Maybe the CEO thinks it's worth it so she can bump up the figure she gives to Roland. Since Charlton only takes up 1.5% of his time he won't be bothered to query it.
Elfs coming with the facts today! They will have to shake up the cup again next season, as attendances weren't this bad when it was the jpt.
I think people have not taken to the checkatrade trophy. Should make it voluntary for clubs to enter. Seriously it costs more money to police than they make. I'm not going. I've got the turntable out Desmond Dekker Albums, a bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Rye (mate from the states brought it to me) and a good cigar and a woman coming over. Way better than freezing my balls off, watching something I no longer care about.
