A strange game, dominated in large parts by Scunthorpe who played the better football. The difference today was that we benefited from some good finishing. Lookman's first was our best goal of the season to date, a curling shot into the top corner from 25 yards. Jacko also took his goal well. The only real downsides today were the attendance - absolutely awful with not a single chant all game, and Ricky Holmes limping off with what looked a nasty injury. We are going to be in trouble without either Holmes or Lookman.
Good for our confidence to get a win over the big boys....Scunny's travelling hoards must be gutted. I'm still in shock massive upset hopefully we can move on after this.
"I really enjoyed that game and we played really good football" - numpty on another site. But the stadium was over 85% empty ?? Its almost as if some people live their lives in a strange parallel universe.
We beat Scunthorpe FFS! Their claim to fame is that they have won the third Division once!!!! Their ground has a capacity of 9,088 which they fill about half. We may be them a in a few years however.
