As I clearly have too much spare time on my hands, out of curiosity I've had a browse at the top scoring charts at the major european leagues to see who's on top form (I've limited to top 5). I see the recently linked Haller isn't doing too bad for Utrecht. I also wouldn't mind Gomia of Marseille out of that list, he looks pretty decent. (Disclaimer: I realise the likelihood of us going for any of these is very minimal)

I could understand this nonsense if austin was in any way comparable to pelle but he is not. Only when we had both for half a season did we have decent striker options on paper. Then we sold one, didn't replace him and went into a 2 match a week routine short of strikers. From what I seen this season we have not replaced Pelle

Plea? Yeah, he was there...regular starter but not much of a scorer prior to this year. Age probably a factor there.

Shame that Austin's shoulder injury was initially caused by a collision with Kelvin Davis in league one.

Realistically I don't see us getting any (good) Prem striker in on loan unless it's a Jack Wilshire to Bournemouth type scenario where it's almost searched for by the parent club.

Far more likely to be a get someone we've never heard of from abroad type thing.
