I am old school...trophies are everything...would rather win the EL than get to the quarter finals of CL!
As much as it cost us when you won the CL it was a great achievement.
I never get the "top 4 is a trophy " mentality...last year was good cos we pushed for the title but give me 5th and the EL trophy any day!
I have no idea where we finished in 1970s 1980s and 90s but could remember every year we won promotion and trophies (or lost finals) since I first supported spurs as an 8 yr old in 1975!

Because our group consisted of Juventus under Conte and Shakhtar Donesk (pre ukraine war) and FC NORIASJDAJSDIOILAND.

We had the same points as the team in 2nd (shakhtar) which was a monumental 10 points. Juventus and Shakhtar have good pedigree in europe)

You guys on the other hand had Monaco, Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow. Aside from monaco, leverkusen have been crap in the champs league and crap this season. Not only were you embarassing, you were already out by the 5th match, 1 that you needed to win but your boss decided to rest some key 1st teamers for whatever reason ala liverpool which begs the question why you bother to even qualify if you cannot be bothered to compete in it properly.
