Let's see how chopsy the Jacks are after their game tomorrow.

We could and should have been 2 up yesterday but same old problem, can't score, won't score. If Gunnar's shot had been a foot more to Bogdan's right or Morrison and Samba had got cleaner touches on several headers. Even had 2 good chances at equalising at the end.

However Wigan's tactics were clear from the start, they stuck to them well and got the breaks particularly from a ref who was fussy about making sure free kicks in our defensive half were taken from the exact spot not 4/5 feet away.

However he did absolutely nothing about the way Burns and Buxton manhandled Pilkington all afternoon. I went to watch football not wrestling. They were all over him. He stuck to his task but as soon as he pushed back they fell over and got the free kick decision.

The linesman in our attacking area second half was particularly useless. He only flagged throwins and offsides and then got most of them wrong. Perhaps the ref didn't trust him to advise on more serious decisions. I felt like telling to go to Specsavers but he would probably have got lost. A total waste of space.

Not blaming Wigan they took advantage of the poor officials. Hope we never see Mr. Langford again - ever.

Glad to see your head above the parapet Vetch. Although one division up, you seem to be in a worse position than us although we could well be bottom three after Newcastle away on Saturday. If Colin can get us a result there then he truly is the Messiah!!!!

I've had a quick squint over on your forum to see if any of our guys had reciprocated after last night's result. I've not noticed any so we must have a bit more class generally over here........................
