    It's difficult to judge from what I have been seen up to now, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and only time will tell, however, I sincerely hope for a positive outcome and a successful season.

    Outcome: I have no idea what to expect, we have lost to Oxford but beat Benfica preseason.
    Reason: Because we are Hull City, its what we've been doing since I started watching, regardless of squad, owners, players, we have always been a bit of a basket case, that's why we are so protective over them.

    I'm as pessimistic as anyone about our chances this season but in the first game you always get a major upset with a **** team getting a freak result against a strong one, so everyone thinks each team will do the opposite of expected for the rest of the season, but that doesn't transpire and they revert to type.

    What's to say that won't be us and Villa?

    Head and heart for me; heart says City win 2-1, after the **** hand and deceit Slutsky has been dealt so far, he deserves a good start.

    Head says Villa, 3-1, they have a strong squad probably could make 2 strong sides and Bruce is no mug in this division, he knows it inside out and what it takes to get out. The chink in his armour though is all his signings, the strong squad could be his downfall, we've seen it before, when he has got too many choices and is like a kiddy in a sweet shop, not sure who to choose and where to play them? Well, here's hoping anyway, and us long suffering City fans know all about hoping! Or perhaps I'm just clutching at straws.

    I could do with a ****ing doppelganger if anyone wants to volunteer, it's my grandson's first birthday tomorrow and I'm at work til 5, I'll be ex-communicated if I don't attend after work, my daughter doesn't have Sky Sports, I do, I'm pretty much ****ed.

    Won't work lads, believe me I've ****ing tried, I've ended up having to compromise and take my iPad and watch it on Sky Go. No doubt I'll finish up locking myself in the bathroom to get some peace, sociable ****er that I am.

    2-0 to City. Bruce will play it too cagey not wanting to lose. The home crowd will turn on him. Grosicky will tear Elmo a new arsehole and set up Fraizer. Headed goal from a corner, probably Daws.
