And it's three at Sunderland and the Pubs are filling up as the "fans" start leaving. I know it happens all over including St James' but fans leaving at this stage is pathetic.
Cannot keep a clean sheet. Worse still second best this time. Not like Blackburn, seem to be getting progressively worse. Has Murphy touched the ball yet??
Our defence has been iffy for a while. Not convinced that Clark and Lascelles are the pairing at centre back. Also Hayden and Colback are essentially two defensive midfielders who together don't give me comfort. We have 6 defenders and a goalie and we still keep having defensive problems.
6 not very great defensive players...and no forward outlet, thrust or pace..so we keep inviting them back onto our iffy defence ...and eventually..they will score
I have a neutral mate at the game. Said that everything went to **** attacking wise once Gayle went off. Long balls to Murphy now.
Hayden now off with groin injury. Just going from bad to worse, wouldn't surprise me to see Brentford end their run of 4 consecutive defeats. We really are crap at defending dead balls. Have to say Lascelles is a crap defender.
Lascelles. Dummett and Colback need dropping. Lascelles - Far too complacent and cocky for my liking. He is not as good as he thinks he is. Dummett - A truly dreadful player Colback - See above, just worse. Rafa is yet again costing us games. He is going to cost us promotion with his unnecessary defensive formations. You simply don't go to places like Brentford and play with six defenders. You also do not continually play the above 3 players when it is obvious that they are a massive liability.
It just sounds really, really poor again. And it's that word, again, that's the most alarming. We cannot just play this fcking awful 4-2-3-1 and hope Gayle/Shelvey carry us into the PL??? It's fcking maddening.
Lascalles could do with a sit on the bench..he came back quite strong after it happened before.. but ...no Mbemba only Hanley or dummett in as CB Hardly inspiring. Jeez litle Vurn down too
well done Murphy, it's a pity that we aren't really inspiring that much belief right now. We need this win, especially with Brighton losing.
