Or was it? Scotty Parker made a little bit of Fulham history three years ago today when he captained the side for the first time. Martin Jol explained his decision, "I wanted to put pressure on other people because Berbatov was captain and he is not very outspoken. He's quiet. Scott Parker is involved in the dressing room and he talks a lot, so I thought it was better to change captains." Scotty added a bit to the historical record by scoring his first goal for the Club; a lovely curling effort. But this post is not about Scotty. Despite his goal we lost that day 2-1 to Swansea. The fans reaction to the defeat was emphatic And indeed the game signed the death knell for Jol and he was gone within the week. So, was 25th November 2013 - yup this happened a mere three years ago - a 'black' day? Obviously yes so far as results go. However. in forcing Mr Khan's hand in finally dumping Jol, some two months later than should have happend after a defeat to the other Welsh lot, then probably not.
