The camel drovers at whorefield are to complain to the football league that MT transfer to the glorious Red side of town broke league regulations. Why? because his release clause figure was released via the player or agent of the said player. Despite the fact they have fook all evidence of any such demeanor, they will bitch and whine to appease the blue few and hopefully get us ****heads a big fine. Go on SL tell them to do one. Oh sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bitter!
Obviously the Gasheads will be angry to lose one of their better players to their bitter rivals - and to be honest I don't blame them. They will be hoping he fails miserably. I was thinking about this last night - has there EVER been a decent player, who we have NOT wanted to lose, made the jump the other way? I honestly can't think of one. All our ex-players who have gone that way have been 'fringe' players or benchwarmers as far as I can remember, that we wouldn't really miss. Also, recently we also haven't in the main got nasty with ex players about it - I remember chuckling about 'agent Akinde' for example. Apparently Steve Philips endured plenty of abuse - which is bad of course, but that was some time ago and since then I haven't heard of any. Apparently I heard that Taylor had to move his mother into a hotel because gasheads found out where she lived and were threatening violence against her.
Surely this happens all the time? You are always hearing that clubs meet the release clause in a players contract
I'm not sure I understand why release clauses ought to be considered private - what's to stop a purchasing club making repeated offers in £100 increments until they meet the magical number? Whilst it seems as though in this case, City knew what the amount was, as it's been mentioned elsewhere, it seems as though it was common knowledge, so it seems highly unlikely that they will be able to identify without doubt, who leaked the information and to whom. If City did hear this figure being bandied about, why would they want to place a higher bid in case it turned out to be true (which it turned out to be)?
£2million doesn't mean anything, check out £2.5million Engvall. I hope he's decent and will be pleasantly surprised if he hits the ground running. But lets wait and see.
Firstly, Bitter neighbours yes.. Rivals.. I don't think so! Secondly. I'm just sitting back laughing my balls off at it all.. No matter how bad we get they somehow manage to create something in their incompetence that trumps us.. it may well turn around in May and bite us on the arse, but for now..
Wycombe, Sainsburys, City fans in the Mansfield end. Water tight contract. Need I go on. Always the victims spring to mind.
All bonus for me. We lose Burns as a striker gain Taylor. Lose Freeman get £300,000. Buy Taylor with it. Burns or Taylor? No contest Taylor or Freeman, wait and see
