Strange, maybe picked up something on his medical. If we're lucky City put a bid in for a permanent deal so the loan was pulled.
They apparently want to wait until his injury is clear. It will give us another bite of the cherry. Really want to see him back, it would put us in a strong position if his future is away from Anfield
Are Chelsea paying for other clubs to have a decent window? Guessing the Torres sale will help Newcastle and Blackpool make a killing out of Liverpool and we might be sneaking in on the action whilst their minds are elsewhere.
More likely to be blackpool out of the two surely. Newcastle look like making a killing out of the carroll deal already.
I think it's just been delayed for a month whilst he gets fit, as we well know Liverpool like their players in Liverpool when they're injured, don't they trust other physios??
Mike Ashley has made a killing out of this deal. What happens to the money and how this takes Newcastle forward remains to be seen. This move comes not long after the saking of Chris Hughton, a man who had served them well and done well. The rumour that Mike Asley actually hates the geordie nation may be nearer to the truth than I thought. ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã35 million for a locally produced player. This does not happen that often. Andy Carroll is a top player without a doubt, but it surprises me that they took the first chance to cash in. Lack of ambition?
Ayala's deal was pulled so he can get fit and he's expected to link up with derby when the window re opens. And surely it's only jimmy thats always 2 weeks away? Everyone else returns when they're supposed too... ...usually
Looking elsewhere, are we considering Clarke Carlisle? If we are looking for a strong centre half with leadership qualities, he would fit the billl. His name come up on another forum but I havn't heard any mention on here as we did with Greening and others. Do we have right of recall on Liam Cooper?
Cooper's loan runs out this week, I think we want him to stay for the season, but only if we've got something else sorted. I suspect we'll give them a new loan, but with a short notice recall written into the deal.
