At the Everton game, there was a guy a couple of rows from me (in the West Stand) who jumped up and celebrated when Everton equalised. One of our fans was unhappy about this and went to complain to the nearby steward. It was obvious the steward didn't want to get involved but when the City supporter carried on complaining, he ordered him to sit down or be ejected. When more of our fans realised what was going on, they also started calling the steward and eventually he caused his supervisor and the Everton supporter (and his family) were moved (not ejected) to another part of the stand. The City supporter who originally objected has been at every game this season but hasn't been seen since that game. It may be a coincidence but I'm wondering whether the stewards reported and have banned him. I thought the rules about away fans in home seats were more strict than this?
You seem to be oblivious to the fact our stewards have always been absolute thundercunts. No surprises if true.
Why the **** don't people get a mate to record them on their phone when talking to a steward ffs? Its so ****ing obvious and easy, I just don't get it.
Away fans have been present in that section of the West Stand for just about every game this season. Some away fans have been wearing their team colours (Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and particularly Newcastle) although most have not celebrated their goals in quite the way that the Everton fan did. I believe there are 'rules' about away fans in the home sections but I suspect they can probably be ignored if required in the same way as other so called rules are ignored. Aren't there rules about having concessions for juniors and senior citizens at Premier League matches? Anyway it appears that the stewards are probably instructed to turn a blind eye to away fans in the West Stand.
Disappointing yesterday that almost no one in the S Stand seemed to be attempting to put the Bournemouth larker off as he was waiting to take the pen.
Have to agree , when it happened live I thought it was bad as only one or two were on their feet attempting to put their man off . On the tele it looked like our fans were comatose . We're has our passion gone .
Wouldn't there be some away fans in the hospitality seats of the West Stand? When City played at Old Trafford in 2008 I couldn't get a ticket with the away fans so I bought hospitality and was sat in the corner opposite the away fans. I was sat next to a group of asians with cameras so I thought everything was normal. When City scored practically the whole corner jumped up to celebrate!
There isn't another ground in the Premier League, nay anywhere, where this kind of behaviour would happen. ****ing tragic.
There's away fans in the home corporate seats at all Premier League grounds. Though obviously you'd never get a situation where there's hundreds of away fans in the normal seats, like we get against Man United and Liverpool.
