After two years the soap opera surrounding Ricardo Alvarez'transfer to Sunderland appears to be over. The English club will now have to pay the nerazzurri €10.5 million after the TAS court ruled in favor of the Italian club, originally Sunderland had refused to pay the agreed upon transfer fee because of the conditions of the Argentine midfielder's knee

Strikes me that this would all have been avoided had we done the bog standard thing of saying the final transfer was 'subject to medical'.

The lads gone on and done great again in Serie A we absolutely ****ed this up. Had we just paid it we'd have sold him for the money back anyway £10million was a great fee, or at worst an about right fee.

Short, and all his hapless, headless advisors and cronies need to be gone, fast.
