Challenge - try to read the below article without face-palming or yelling in frustration. The part where he starts listing Akpom and Sanogo as options is hilarious. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20160818/-he-has-similar-qualities-to-suarez-
Not as bad as when he mentions Real Madrid. "But if you ask people 'give me names', you see that it is not that easy - look at a club like Real Madrid, who have they bought? Up front, it is very difficult." For fcks sake, they have bloody Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema and Morata up front, why would they need another striker?!?!? Also is he trying to compare their strike force to ours? Is he fukin insane, does he think the Arsenal fans are morons.
Also, why does he bang on about the players he buys needing to be better than what we have when he's the guy who recently signed squad filler like Park, Welbeck and Elneny who weren't any better than what we already had?
Our best forward player Sanchez couldn't get into the Real Madrid line up. Either Wenger is deluded or he's a WUM.
Look we all know that Sanogo is going to be the next Ronaldo, and Giroud is clearly better than Lewandowski - so what are we worried about? Plus Theo will show his world class form any day now!
Some loaded questions there though especially the Suarez one, they are at different levels but Wenger isn't going to say that, same with the playing up top question Wenger isn't going to say he can't do it.
We cant read anything from those comments though. It would be stupid for Wenger ti say he 'didn't think we had the required quality up front'.
if he really thought that why did he bid for vardy, and possibly lacozette? its just the media trying to stir up a **** storm knowing fine well that out fans will start frothing at the mouth with a headline like that, very rarely do any mangers come out and say there current crop are not good enough, it would be counter productive and affect the confidence of the current players. He clearly does think we need more or he would not have tried to but more.
