This water has great spirit, quality, and character, with the advert ending with that smirky smile he always does.
The "protest" was conducted by a couple of hundred people holding up pieces of paper whilst thousands stood and sang "One Arsene Wenger" Are you seriously saying that people didn't know about the protest when it had been mentioned in the media and was all over social media for the past week ?
This says to me that a lot of Arsenal fans would be content with top10, and are ecstatic at top 4. Some of us want just that little bit more.
Yup, not everything getting mentioned in media gets noticed, many people don't really pay attention to media. Plus again, not taking part, is not the same as being pro Wenger. TBH if I was in the stadium I most likely would not have held a banner up, and it's not because I am pro Wenger. I think with many Arsenal fans it's just not their style to protest etc, so more to do with that rather than being pro Wenger. Yes there were One Arsene chants, but nothing spectacular. The chorus of boos at half were in fact higher than the one Arsene chant, and again, lot's of empty seats which speak for themselves. Against West Brom tens of thousands of empty seats with attendance estimated at 43k, that too speaks about the discontent.
In my opinion, Wenger's time is coming to an end at Arsenal. I don't think he'll go this summer, but instead see out his contract and I think the club will plan for his successor next season. I can appreciate the frustrations of some fans, I feel it too. But as far as I'm concerned, holding up banners saying Wenger out and booing him and the players does nothing but cause friction and animosity. It's counter productive for the players and basically plays into the oppositions hands. I'm an old school supporter and I my view is that fans should get behind the players and the manager, especially more so when we're struggling. I realise this isn't everybody's approach, and I respect the fact that people are entitled to protest if they want. I just think they should realise that it does nothing to help the team though.
There are lots of things that appear at our games (and have done for years) that don't help the team and cause friction and animosity among some fans. These are things like Giroud, Wenger, Ramsay, Walcott.....
Saturday's "protest" was obviously being discussed by us on the journey down to London on Saturday.I also spoke to members from another supporters club in the Coroner before the game.Of all the people I spoke to everyone said they go to games to support the team not protest
Not really, on this board there are less Wengerites than anti, and the Wengerites are just trying to spin propaganda like they learned from their cult leader trying to paint Saturday as a day of vindication for Wenger. The thousands of empty seats speak for themselves, and at half time the chorus of boos were louder than the one Wenger chant, and funnily enough, as some inside the stadium commented, the same idiots who chanted One Arsene, were booing at half time. And even if there are more Wengerites, changes nothing about him bottling it so many times.
In what way have I been fooled ? You're the mug who has been fooled, you're the one who only started supporting Arsenal because of Wenger's success.
