Fenerbahce are set to table an offer for Sunderland midfielder Jeremain Lens, according to reports.

The 29-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with the Istanbul club, scoring four goals and assisting 13 in 24 appearances.

As talkSPORT recently revealed, the Black Cats are holding out for £13m for the Netherlands international and the Turkish giants are poised to register their interest.

According to sports outlet Fanatik, Fenerbahce are preparing two alternatives for Sunderland in the hope of luring the Dutchman in the summer.

One offer will be to buy Lens on a permanent deal. However, the fee is understood to be significantly lower than the Wearsiders’ asking price, which could put the move in doubt.

Fenerbahce will also table a 'back-up' bid to keep the former PSV star on loan if the Black Cats reject their initial advances.
