    Ian McGarry, on 5 Live's Monday Night Club has said he was speaking to a Prem manager last week who had been offered Carroll.

    So, this was all orchestrated by Ashley. What a tosser.


    But that might mean he had someone lined up. Any ideas anybody?

    With Carroll asking to leave rather than Ashley pushing the transfer hopefully there will be no hostility v Arsenal on Sunday - a bad atmosphere wouldn't bode well for getting anything from an already tough game. If Ashley had 'forced him out' then all the protests etc would have lead to full scale revolt and us going on a massive winless run.

    His agent makes £3.5 million out this deal and his agents contract expires next year. The agent also got a payout for carroll signing the 5 year contract with newcastle. Im sure his 'advisors' (according to SSN), had his best interests at heart.
