Interview with Salut! Sunderland ahead of the FA Cup game He became the Rev Alan Comfort, as most Boro fans will know, and is living in east London but has happy memories of his time in the North East - his wife wasn't so sure at first to say the least: http://salutsunderland.com/2012/01/boro-who-are-you-the-stars-wife-who-cried-on-seeing-middlesbrough/ ... still classes himself as a Boro supporter (though Chelsea were his boyhood love) and wants/predicts them to win at Sunderland.
The smog monsters need divine intervention for the weekend. Cold 'comfort' for the boro I think. A full team and 3 0 to the lads.
Being Ex Boro hes hardly likely to say anything other than a Boro win, but looking at it as a Sunderland fan who is open minded yes they have a chance, but if we play our best eleven then that chance has to be pretty slim, but in football you cant take anything for granted.
Being a big fan of Gary Gibson and admirer of Tony Mowbray I have never wanted Middlesbrough to be more successful than right now. Obviously a huge fan. Back to the original article, I think it's very refreshing that someone actually had passion to play for a club and wanted to be there (Even upsetting the missus to do so, and to be honest, I don't blame her!) his skill might not have been the greatest but he seems to have a really good attitude to the game.
