Can anyone tell me what is going on? The net is full of stories and rumours.... The TD is saying we don't want him and then QSF is saying he likes him ???? Is it a two pronged PR message to him.... We will have you if you shape up?? Maybe a short term contract for cover planned??
I am unconvinced by his attitude, and probably his fitness too. When was the last time he played a competitive game?! That said, why not offer him a play-as-you-play contract, see how he gets on in training and play him if we need him? What do we have to lose?

Personally I do not think he is quality and well past his sell by date. He is just looking for an end of career meal ticket and would be better suited at a club like QPHa
http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2015/11/comment-signing-emmanuel-adebayor-is-a-no-brainer/ It almost makes sense! Especially the last paragraph!
Dang! I reckon that's about the best article he's written. Personally I think the last paragraph makes perfect sense. Worth a punt, I'd say.
I really wouldn't like to have to make the decision about him, but then I have never met him and do not know what he is really like. Worth a punt? Maybe if he is paid in such a way that he is trying to catch up with the carrot dangling in front of him.
Good article. If you think about it, QSF seems to have played a bit of a master stroke at centre back and has answered the 'what if Cathcart or Prodl get injured?' question by bringing in Britos. Now up front, what have we got if Deeney or Ighalo pick up a long term injury? An untested Ibarbo. Maybe, just maybe there could be something in it and if he could be at least part of the currently absent Plan B, it could be worth a go.
I don't like it one little but - cannot see how he would be happy to play second fiddle to Oghalo or Deeney and right now I wouldn't want him to replace either of them. I get the impression our dressing room spirit could be one of our biggest strengths right now - his past shows no indication that he'd do anything other than damage it.
The affleck article seems to indicate he has a better temperament than we are given to believe through the media. I guess we would do a short term contract only.... with clauses
My issue would be he might expect to start and unless Deeney/Ighalo are injured or need a rest he probably wouldn't. Suppose a short term contract wouldn't be the worse option so long as he isn't being paid silly wages.
