    <cheers>

The goal shy and points shy Addicks take on Oldham tonight, in what promises to be a near deserted Valley.

With the away support expected to arrive in a rickshaw with room to spare, tonight promises to be our lowest league attendance for many years.

The reaction of the travelling fans at full time on Saturday was revealing. Despite the average performance, Bauer and Fox led the players over and were generally given a <applause> . When Slade came over to join them he was given a loud raspberry. Patience is starting to run out.

Slade may resemble Buddha but our fans do not have Buddha's fabled calm and patience - we want promotion this year <cheers>

Please, please play 4-4-2 tonight and show some attacking intent FFS.

    My line up:

    Rudd
    Fox
    Solly
    Bauer
    Teixera
    Jackson
    Crofts
    Holmes
    Botaka
    Ajose
    Magennis

    Anyone else going?

Not tonight - I have the pleasure of having to go to Hereford for business. Probably wouldn't have gone either way to be fair.

It's a must win game, the next two are. Investment will be minimal in January I'd imagine, so if this side can't take maximum points from Oldham and Rochdale, then I'm inclined to believe it will be league one mediocrity.

It's the sort of game a team looking at promotion should win. A bit like Oxford, Wimbledon and to be honest Bolton. However, if you want to win games, it's agood idea to try and do so. I expect Olham to try and park the bus. If ee dothe same it'll be a wretched evening. I'll go for 3-1 to us, but really, anything could happen here.

As for the football - I'll be in my boxers watching Dortmund v Madrid.

I'm going, only because it's the better of two evils. Food shopping or watching football. So I'm going to converse with a few ladies (over 21 and under 33) and enjoying a few whiskeys. I can use it as excuse to eat out tomorrow the line "we have no food in this house."

Tough - but in a good way. I could moan about there not being enough hours in the day, but still manage to get on here often enough.

Any bets for you guys tonight? Need to recover from last night as there I was thinking Watford were a big price at 3/1...

    Just arrived.

You can actually count the Oldham fans from the North Upper - there is currently 25 of them

20 mins to go and the ground is empty.

1-1. Sounded absolutely horrendous in front of a scattering of fans.

It was horrendous, Oldham had countless chances, I'd be actually annoyed if I was one of their fans

Posted my post match comments on the Slade thread .

Suffice to say we were excrement tonight - dull is not the word. Slade appears to have no idea how to set up a team to win a game of football. Never seen so many sideways passes and never heard a Charlton crowd boo when we are winning.

I reckon Slade has got 3 games max before the owner and fans turn on
    Him

Our points tally in a very very poor league is embarrassing

Recently moved to Southampton, the drive to witness the M25 parking and Oldham didn't appeal, I'd rather talk about gambling Charlton is too depressing a topic. Avoid football, early rounds of men's tennis tournaments is where profit is made. Avoid women's tennis like the plague. Ryder Cup could be fruitful

I've said it before but this is definitely the worst Charlton side since the early 80s. Take Holmes out and we won't create anything or score. We must be an opposition scouts dream - so easy to play against. I would also give Magennis some credit as he works tirelessly with no support, but the rest of them are a shower of sh1te. Novak is slow slow slow, Ajose has been a massive disappointment , and that midfield belongs in a glass case in the Natural History Museum. The Burnley reserve Ulvestad offers nothing and is another squad player at best. The Jackson-Crofts- Foley combo is atrocious in any form - how many times this season so we have to suffer seeing Slade replace one of these three with another. They are all
Identical donkeys. Foley is only on a short term deal and I will be staggered if it gets extended.

Oldham had no manager and only 5 players a couple of months ago - it just proves what a mess Slade has made of it. Useless.

I am so happy that I did not get a season ticket. I have not been to one game this Season, the first time in 55 years. The worrying thing is that I am apathetic. The Club I love is dying, in the lower reaches of the Third division, 20000 empty seats. Poor players who I have no affinity with. A poisonous regime who have virtually killed the Club stone dead in 2.5 years. I can see things getting a whole lot worse and I don't think another relegation is out of the question.

The real attendance last night was no more than 6,000, including 185 decent folk from Oldham.

Desperate stuff. You wonder what the deluded CEO and her bitch Parkes think, when they look at 21,000 empty seats.
