Johnson was a role model in a high profile position - he massively abused this imo he should not have been able to appeal Or commence his career after serving his full sentence like a man.
Possibly, but he has to show remorse. He let a 15/16 year old girl be slut-shamed for a year, she was receiving dogs abuse by people who thought she was lying, meanwhile he didn't give a **** about anything but his own name. I would probably raise a toast to anybody who took the time to beat him senseless whilst serving his time.
As has been mentioned, it is all relative. Yes, six years does seem harsh in comparison what others have got, but I agree that the others should have got stiffer sentences rather than Johnson a lesser one..

Yeah, cos that's been done to death on here and never ends well. It's interesting to see how certain folk view the same subject, like it could even be summed up as 50/50 responsibility for some, and others see it the way the law looks at it. Why should we. As far as we were concerned he was innocent until proven guilty. A few of your players and ex players haven't exactly been angels have they. A lot of bad press brought to your club. By the way I am not defending him.
The people you are talking about should be getting longer if it's proven. CPS Minimums - 5 years with victim over 16, 8 to 10 years if they're under 16. That is for a single offence against a single victim with no aggravating factor. It is the most emotive crime and can be difficult to prove but when proven the sentencing isn't complicated.
A friend of mine, a retired Policer officer, was of the view, almost from the start, that it would be a long sentence. His reasoning was the 'Grooming' charge. Now we know, apparently it was over 800 texts. His crime in itself though is probably the least prosecuted offense on the statute book. Performing a sexual act with a minor, ie someone under the age of 16, (The Age of Consent) There is no other stipulation, so two 15 year olds at school kissing, say, would be EACH guilty of the same crime. Fortunately the CPS take a sensible line. However, whatever the circumstances, there no excuse under the Sun for a 28 year old to be actively chasing a 15 year old. His punishment wasn't harsh. The fact that others may have got away with lighter sentence's is not relevant. This case though MAY have laid down a yardstick for future offenders. If nothing else it just MIGHT encourage anyone thinking along similar lines, to have second thoughts.

Get your facts right - it's not paedophilia as that is for pre pubescent children. She wasn't. We (as fans) stood by someone who had convinced us that he was innocent - and that was what he was until proven otherwise- and majority turned on him as soon as he pleaded guilty and made us (the fans) look like idiots. Why should I hang my head in shame - some people at the club should but us fans don't deserve any blame.
