The appeal of not606 is that we can comment, debate, create FREELY. Many of the members here have migrated from BBC 606 where the moderation was considered to be heavy handed and inconsistent.

not606 is different and as mods on the Southampton board we want to keep it that way. However with this right to post freely comes your personal responsibility to SELF REGULATE.

We are not against wumming per SE, in fact some of the funniest content on BBC 606 was subtle, innovative, witty and original wind ups. However, these were done in a 'tongue in cheek' way and were part of the spirit of banter, which is intrinsic to football supporting in general and for the most part is taken as just that - BANTER.

What we don't want are threads and comments that are simply insulting, nasty and personal and end up descending into a tit for tat slanging match, or threads and comments that are simply designed to annoy and provoke for the sake of it.

If you have a problem, drop us a PM and we will work with you to try and resolve it.

I'm hoping that this will appeal to your better nature and that members who wish to post on the Southampton board will respect this request. We certainly don't want to patrol this board like not606 Police, removing comments, closing threads and reporting members. But at the same time we have a responsibility to ensure that it doesn't end up resembling a free for all battle zone.

Enjoy the site and the freedom, but please help us, to help you.
