Just thought we could maybe share some of the funnier stories we've read over the years? Mine is a recent one, but A2C's opinions on the fire brigade was pure gold (on reflection, as at the time it made me mad!!!). Also a mention for Jonathan Ackworth who promised us that he was contacting David Beckham about buying us out. And please, don't get too sentimental. I don't want any tears
Not sure but think I was the last person to post a response on the Charlton Board earlier today What do I win ??? please log in to view this image or please log in to view this image or even .... please log in to view this image
Nick Gray organising a ''meet up'' and not even turning up himself. A2C and his Plymouth mate. A2C and his heart warming story about a female he spoke to at Wycombe away.
Just realised. No a2c No Parky. I am lost. Now I hope we sign Mooney again - I need a reason to vent my spleen!!
The classic "Parky iss the best gaffer in L1" or even "Parky can take over from Wenger n all" or "I like Solly cos e takes a good corner" Brilliant stuff which I shall miss greatly
and Borrowdales corner taking expertise Loved the way he would end a post by stating "thass all there is too it" ... thinking that those words would end any argument LEGEND
To be fair, was he wrong? Borrowdales corners were Beckham-esque Funny, after I mentioned Jonathan Ackworth someone sent me a link to his twitter. If you guys haven't read it- I highly recommend it. As a non-member to it, I just type ''jacworth twitter'' in to google and bob's your uncle. Highlights include: Meeting investors to buy Welling. Telling Alan Sugar to take over at Fifa Urging people to make a citizen arrest on Blatter next time he's in the UK. To buy his book which is coming out in the club shop next month. Dave Jones be an ideal number 2 to CP.
Heh, ironic all the "best memories" seem to involve A2C yet people don't want him over here on this forum.
By the end A2C had come to dominate 606 with his Parkyism Such devotion and loyalty. Deserves some sort of reward really.
I don't think a2c went to away games? trouble is for all the golden a2c moments there was also another thread he ruined so won't miss him one bit don't think anyone's mentioned his outrage at the Hartlepool game being called off due to a frozen pitch and that Derek Ales and co would have played on it?
I loved A2C he had a certain way about him that endeared him to me...and for all those who said he wasnt a charlton fan he is and for real just a bit diffeent i`d welcome him here...so A2C come on down
