Moreno did make a good run wide, that is no excuse for two defenders to follow him and leave Coutinho with one to go past and hit one of his 20 shots. Leicesters defence were abysmal.
He is certainly talented but needs a proper role in the team with more discipline. Jimmy may be right about the 10 role.
It's not often you see the words "Moreno" and "intelligent" in the same sentence. Seriously though, everyone knows what Coutinho likes to do and how good he can be if given space. Surely all defenders by now know not to let him do it.
Could you not say that of all top players? No ones totally unpredictable, the very best just get away with it over and over because they are better than most at it and then that in itself creates fear

Every weekend without fail, the Express roll out eye-catching transfer stories which have the stench of fake news. This Sunday is no different, as readers are lead to believe that Liverpool have finally agreed a deal with RB Leipzig for star midfielder Naby Keita. http://www.101greatgoals.com/news/transfers/rumour-liverpool-agree-record-breaking-naby-keita-deal/
lol I said he's better suited to the number 8 - he's the natural replacement for Iniesta IMO. He has been inconsistent but I do feel he's now entering his best years as a player, and Klopp moving him deeper will take him to the next level. It will also help that he has a top attack in front of him.
I think Mane will be on left and Salah on right - Mane played LW at Salzburg and I'm sure he played a few games there at Soton. I'm sure we will see them interchange throughout the match though.
i would say the pair won't ever be wide unless defending with the full back. I think the widest player will be firmino just cos he drifts left at times.
Oh, I'm not saying it isn't down to his ability - obviously it's a lot easier for me to defend from the safety of my armchair. But we have seen him struggle (like the rest of the team) to break down well organised defences. He wants to get the shot away from about 20 yards out ideally, but a lot of the Pulis/Mourinho type defences have kept him 5 or 10 yards further out where a more speculative effort doesn't come off so well.
Agree but sometimes it just not that easy, to me the fact that he took two defenders out indicated the intelligence of the run. With my Moreno glasses/goggles on Diego, I would like to think it was deliberate in his timing of the run and where he ran. He may just have got lucky, but I have seen him get lucky like that a couple of times. Like I say when defending you don't always have time to trust nothing but instinct, thing is unless he plays more we will never know
It takes two to create lads. When most of our side runs away from goal or when coutinho starts a large but drops into a no 8 role there are no bodies to pass to. Imo coutinho no 8 with 3 guys a head to pass too is going to make a lot of people look very silly for saying he could go.. especially at 70mil.
If he goes - we will never know Plus I don't want him to go, but think he will. ATM I think 80m will get him (hope I am wrong) nothing to do with the money - more about what it says about clubs intentions
If we sell for 80 mil I will personally assassinate every fsg member and hang Edwards from the Stanley gates! 80mil is not even lukaku money
It's in my car. I broke the handle of my big one but got a decent new hickory one. I can't abide these all metal ones. Too light and no feel as youchop chop chop.
