Interesting to see where they line up with Salah and Mane both preferring the right hand side. Surprised Klopp hasn't put Salah on the left more pre season unless he plans to move Mane there so can both cut in

Not seen much but Salah has scored 2 goals from inside 6 yard box. For a wide player I'm impressed. Looks like he wants to get into the area where most goals are scored which is a good sign as we do lack someone in the middle at times

Constantly running in behind and off pumping ball in there. Clear tactic.

I cannot wait to see mane added to this.

Did well with his goal (and other things too) but thought Leicesters defence were appalling the way they lost him.

Agree, at least for the goal. Then again, ours wasn't better for their goal.

So refreshing to see! playing only one striker (or technically none with preference on Firmino as false 9) you need players getting into the box and hungry for goals themselves.

Get Mane on the other side with Couts deeper and we could be in for some fantastic football

'With preference on' - I think Klopp will go with Firmino more often than not.

Great to have these stunning options though Diego :D

I thought Sturridge looked quite good today.
If Klopp wanted to get the best out of both he would use Firmino as a second striker behind Sturridge (this would probably mean a change of style) because that is their best positions.
Firmino was prolific at Hoffenheim in that position but often goes missing with you lot.

its a tough one, my favourite formation is 4-1-2-1-2 and I think Firmino and Sturridge would complement each other. cant imagine Klopp going with that over Salah and Mane on the wings though.

But there is also no point having a fully fit Sturridge on the bench because IMO he is class.

Comes back to those phenomenal options <laugh>

You do have the potential for two very scary attacking formations <ok>

Yeah we could do a 41212 type thing that way but when you have the fastest pair of wide forwards going.... well... we will see.

As a pair maybe, not sure if either are the fastest going though

If we have everyone fit I have no doubts over how well we can play and blow teams away at times - we've seen it.

VVD will be the guy that lifts us to the next level IMO

Hope we don't **** it up

They also stood and watched while Coutinho lined up his party-piece. The world and his dog could see it coming, you'd think they'd have closed him down better.
However, we're in no position to criticise other defences - looks like we'll be going for the 5-4 wins again. :)

I won't mention Coutinho, like with Can I will only be called a wum.
Firmino I have said is a 1 in 5-8 player but it has nothing to do with his ability. If played right he can be amazing.

Tbf Moreno created the space with a good intelligent run
If I had been Leicester defender - I would have left Moreno to run, he can't even put the ball into an empty net
But you don't really check who is running by you just follow on instinct which created the micro second for him to cut in.
If Moreno gets more game time I am certain we will see more of it

Coutinho has been inconsistent since he joined us, but I think he's improving all the time. A deeper role suits him and I wouldn't be surprised to see him becoming more and more influential as he grows into it. He's now established himself with his national team and I think his self-belief has grown.
