I don't think that Giroud would have the same impact in our team, to be honest. He offers Arsenal something very different, whereas he'd just be a worse version of what we already have, basically. They don't play directly at all when he's not in the side, so throwing him on switches things up. We have players that make late runs and offer an aerial threat already, so teams are prepared for it. They'll keep him and sign a more mobile and pacey striker ahead of him, if they have any sense. Welbeck could do that job, as could Walcott, if either of them could stay fit and show any signs of improvement.
Wow that was some finish to a great season league for you lot. Harry Kane what a player, maybe unfair to single him out but that's the way to win the golden boot. I did see you once this season not a great night for a Gills fan! but it was a pleasure to see that quailty of football first hand again. Hope you keep the team together and go one better soon
Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics!! Has some merit, although of course it conversely starts with the premise that a side has to be good enough to take the lead - which probably explains Sunderlands position: so **** they were generally always behind!!
You also need the following stats : - Losses from a drawn position - Losses from a losing position - Points gained from a losing position
2016/17 is the season that Arsenal win the FA Cup for a record 13th time and Wenger for a record 7th as manager. What did Spurs win - FA
gooner4ever just has not come to terms with the final PL placings, has he. I have several therapy slots available next season for you to work thru your issues. Thursday or Sunday ok for you ??
No mate, you won the FA Cup. You'd have noticed it if you'd actually been watching the game instead of reading this board and tugging one off.
Spurs won **** All Arsenal won the FA Cup. Did you watch the game - I did, then I posted on here afterwards Spurs fans are so jealous and bitter
I sense your pain and anguish - in that for all your bluster and boasting Spurs have actually won **** All again but are celebrating this season like you have
You want bitter - I'll give you bitter what a ****ing lucky cup run and win that was - Non league opposition in rounds 5 & 6, major game changing decisions given in your favour in both the semi final and the final -oh well they have always said its better to be lucky than good and this FA Cup win has certainly proved that old adage! There I feel better now have a great day
Glad you got it off your chest - it must have been giving you indigestion ! Yes we saved our 2 best performances for the semifinal and the final, where we were awesome and should have won by a bigger margin
Mate, we won the finish above Arsenal AND the top 4 trophy. It might not be remembered explicitly, but this will always be the season we kicked on and set up the 2017/18 Premier League title winning year. Whereas this will ALWAYS be the year you didn't qualify for the champions league for the first time. You're experiencing your David Moyes/Roy Hodgepot moment, only you won't be capable of spending your way out of it because you just don't have the appeal of Liverpool or United.
I may pop back to ridicule this post at the end of next season when Spurs fail to do so - have a great offseason
