Any suggestions as to why we signed this player? The little I've seen of him he looks as though he could be a decent player if given a chance. Robinson clearly doesn't rate him any higher than Dodoo, so I don't understand what he's doing here. Kai-kai looks no more than an average L1 player, but still gets plenty of game time. And our scoring record is not a lot. What is going on?

    A body.

He came with all of the trademark Gobbo hyperbole - the almost exact words from KR were that lots of Championship sides wanted Zyro, and that getting him was a real coup as he is a cut above this level.

The reality, as feared, has proved to be slightly different. A shell of a crock - Lee Novak on 30k a week. Another pup joins the Duchatelet Dogs Home.

Does anyone think that Zero (sic) will start 6 games for us this season ?

Nobody takes responsibility for this sort of incompetence. Meire is gone, so who? Not Richard. Not Robinson. Our club is shrouded in mystery.

The Club were obviously expecting somebody to loan Ajose ..... now it seems Ajose is filling the role Zyro was brought in for.

I understand that Zyro missed 17 months of his career through serious injury, but I have never seen a centre forward who bottles out of so many challenges. The 50/50 tackles, he constantly ducks out of. At Rochdale that percentage had declined to 75%-25% in his favour. He is not interested. He is also poor in the air for a relatively big guy and when he is off the pace generally -as he is - his lack of physical courage stands out.

While I feel sorry for Zyro for his injury hit career, he is precisely NOT what we need at this crucial stage. The “Boo Boys” have latched onto him as well...

So, Ajose and Magennis it is then. Two honest triers who don't gel. As was stated on another thread, we're dependent on Fosu to create anything.

I reckon Phil Parkinson might come back on for Magennis this summer, regardless. I would let him go. Ditto Ajose.

We're in the sh1t up front. Whatever Bowyer's motivational qualities are, he probably hasn't been here long enough to know who he'd want up front. We don't know if we'll have an owner who will back him (or whoever the manager is). ATM I'd like to see KAG play a part. He's been doing very well, and should have a bit of confidence accordingly. Steve Avery rates him, which counts for a lot imo.

Makes me laugh to see some fans hailing KAG as the Messiah. He has scored a few goals at a poor level, but has always struggled at League 1 level [undeniable]

It would be a frightening prospect seeing him in the Championship ...

No... not in the Championship but on the bench in the play offs rather than Zyro.... at least he would give 100% and has a bit of confidence about him at present.

He had just started scoring in L1 when Robinson dropped him. 3 from 3 wasn't it. We aren't exactly spoiled for choice in the scoring department.

I would start him on Thursday. He is playing with confidence at the moment.

KAG is ineligible to play for us in the Play Offs.

    Thank God.

He could be a different player under LB especially with the confidence he’s now playing with

KAG won't get to play for Bowyer until next season now, if at all.

I have watched him closely since he made his debut for us, personally I don't think he is good enough.

He's still very young. I'd guess about the same age as Aribo. He was brought in to the first team at 17, far too early, and it knocked his confidence. Steve Avery admitted as much. Avery also praised the way Robinson handled him, and was optimistic about the decision to send him to Crawley. KAG has had a few downs, but Avery expects that there is a lot more to come from him.

I'll accept Avery's view. Plenty of time for him to develop, and nothing really to be gained by dragging him back to the high pressure environment of the play offs (even if he was eligible). The current squad managed to get us into this position - it's up to them to try and finish the job.
